Yes, indeed, Werder have apparently seen fit to sell our top scorer this season to Turkish club Besiktas due to disagreements over his salary demands. He’s scored nine goals in the league and 11 for us in 21 total appearances this season. Almeida came to Werder on loan in 2006 and signed the next season, scoring 41 goals in his time with the Green-Whites and cementing his place as a fan-favorite, despite often starting on the bench the past couple seasons. I, for one, am very sad to see him go.

yup, Besiktas is going to be fine. Bernd building a pretty nice squad there. So, who’s gonna play in the striker dept now, Pizza – Arna – Wagner?
