And Bremen bottled it 0-3.

It seems that on the one hand Bremen's Champions League group stage performances keep deteriorating each season, while they are getting drawn into easier and easier groups at the same time. Finishing 3rd behind Barca and Chelsea two seasons ago was OK, doing the same against Real and Olympiacos was disappointing, but now they could even finish 4th behind Inter, Famagusta and Panathinaikos.

Bremen will now need two wins from their remaining two matches. With a bit of luck a win and a draw would even be enough to send them through.

Jackson, I am not a Panathinaikos fan (in fact theey are my hated rivals); however, I wouldn't be quick to tip Werder Bremen as victors on this night.

Even though Panathinaikos does not have a rich history of success in Germany (last time they traveled to the Weser Stadion they lost 5-1). But after a revived effort on the weekend, Panathinaikos could surely spur a shock of sorts on Tuesday night (hopefully they will beat Bremen, helps the Greek coefficients).

If not, I will always have the memories of Olympiacos' success in Bremen (3-1) and in Greece where Bremen lost 3-0. Nonetheless, I hope it will be a good match!
