Mesut Özil Signs for Real Madrid

By: Jamie | August 17th, 2010

It has been confirmed on the Real Madrid official website. Thanks for the memories, Mesut, including the goal that won us the Pokal in 2009.

I hope you enjoy sitting on the bench in Madrid instead of being a superstar in the Bundesliga (hopefully I am wrong but… we’ll see).

Fuck sakes. He just had to go to that rothole of Real Madrid. He will learn after a couple months that the bench isn’t that great and wonder why he left Werder in the first place.

It’s not Madrid’s fault, but Ozil’s. What is he thinking? At best, his career will stagnate. At worst, he’ll end up at Besiktas in a few years.

I am a Real Madrid fan, and Canales is the one I’m worried about, Mesut will be a starter for sure. I was looking forward to see Canales play, but now because of Mesut, Canales can kiss his chances good bye. And sadly, Van der Vaart will be shown the door.

Wishing him good luck! Hopefully both he & Khedira get to learn from Real Madrid and earn regular starting positions. It’s going to be tough to get one, with Real Madrid and their stable of powerful players that they keep handy… but I can only imagine, as a player it is an opportunity that would be hard to pass on,

I hope nothing Metzelder-like happends to them!

It’s too bad he didn’t stay in the Bundesliga. It’s their time to shine.

I know you’re upset, but wake up lads. Özil will most certainly start in Madrid and unless his play falls off the table, he will see significant minutes.

is every player in the world blind? cant the y madrid is not a sporting club, but a money machine? they stop being a football club decades ago.
They dont even know how to build up a team, they just spend and spend and fall in the 8s round in the champions league. Bayern could have trash them in the beckembauer cup, if not for casillas.
